Rob Farr is an artist and designer combining handmade craft skills with digital platforms. An approach derived from a background on film shoots and in metal workshops; physical tools and techniques are are developed to create digital content and experiences.

Emerging from research whilst completing an MA in Design Products Royal College of Art, the projects here are part of The Filmic Fabrication Series. Often in response to the technical limitations of mediums such as Virtual Reality, this practise is an ongoing exploration into themes such as perception, light as a raw material, and the use of lo-tech in hi-tech realms.

His work has exhibited at Milan Design Week 2018 with the RCA and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. He has also been a visiting lecturer at the RCA
